Skullflower is a British experimental and industrial music project that emerged from the underground noise scene in the late 1980s. Operating primarily through the independent Broken Flag label, the project is characterized by dense, abstract soundscapes that blend elements of industrial music, noise, and dark ambient aesthetics. Their early releases, including the landmark albums Birthdeath (1988) and Form Destroyer (1989), established Skullflower as a significant force in the UK's experimental underground, creating heavily layered, textural compositions that eschew conventional song structures in favor of immersive sonic environments.
