MSBR
MSBR, a Japanoise artist from Japan, unleashes overwhelming sonic aggression through feedback manipulation and tape collage.
About
MSBR, the aural brainchild of Koji Tano, detonated into the Japanoise scene with a seismic impact. From the very first cassette release on MSBR Records, the project was a symphony of obliterating intensity — feedback manipulation and tape collage converging in overwhelming sonic aggression. Each release, a new tectonic shift: "Fracture Of Silence" (1995) on Sounds For Consciousness Rape, a pivotal tape that saturated the senses, reducing silence to fracture. "2,000 Thousends Contaminate Electronic Acid" (1994) on Old Europa Cafe, an ecstatic, chaotic journey through abstract textures. The 1992 LP "Ultimate Ambience," a singular vinyl anomaly, stands as a monument to MSBR's total devotion to noise — a saturated landscape of sound that transcended the confines of format. Collaborations with the likes of G.R.O.S.S. and Cling Film-Records cemented MSBR’s place in the pantheon of noise, a relentless force alongside peers like Pain Jerk and Solmania. With each tape, a new dimension of sonic evolution unfolded, leaving an indelible mark on the Japanoise cosmos before dissolving into silence in 1995.
