Famlende Forsøk
Norwegian experimental industrial project from the 1980s-90s, releasing cassettes on SHiT Tapes label.
About
Famlende Forsøk was a Norwegian experimental and industrial music project active from the mid-1980s onward. The project emerged during the formative years of the Scandinavian industrial underground, releasing a series of cassettes through the SHiT Tapes label beginning in 1984. Their early output, including En Overraskende Måte Hvorpå Man Kan Kaste En Person Over Ende and Scrap Material, established them within the noise and industrial music community with experimental approaches to sound construction. The project's name, which translates to "Fumbling Attempts" in English, reflected an aesthetic embrace of raw, unpolished sonic experimentation. Famlende Forsøk continued recording into the 1990s, maintaining their presence in underground music circles. Their work contributed to the broader Scandinavian industrial and experimental noise scene, working primarily through independent cassette distribution networks that were vital to underground music dissemination during this era. The project remains an obscure but notable artifact of mid-1980s Norwegian experimental music culture.
