In the crucible of Antwerp's industrial landscape, Club Moral emerged in 1981, a collaborative noise collective spearheaded by the relentless duo of Danny Devos and Anne-Mie van Kerckhoven. This Belgian entity operated like a factory of sound and vision, churning out provocative performances and multimedia releases. Their art was a mechanical barrage, a dystopian commentary on society's fringes. The group's output was functional, relentless. Over eight years, they distributed their industrial sounds across 26 releases, predominantly on cassette — a format as raw and unrefined as their music. The notable "To All Who Are Interested…" LP, released through Cthulhu Records in 1989, stands as a testament to their enduring impact on the noise scene. Their work with labels like Club Moral, Extreme, and Staalplaat forged a network of industrial soundscapes that influenced and intertwined with contemporaries like Etat Brut and Minamata. Club Moral's live performances were the beating heart of their operation, a cacophony of percussive rhythms and controversial imagery.
