Bradford Red Light District

New Order, The · 1981 · Tape · GB · WDC 881011

Limited to 600 copies in generic sleeve with paste-on cover. Some generic white, most black with Come Org. address printed on the back. Total pressing of 800 - 1000 copies per William Bennett. In "Patent [...] Made In Great Britain" inner sleeve. Some of the Come Organisation records have "Spanish labels", as on this release, printed "CARA A.12 CANCIONES COMPUESTAS Y CANTADAS CARA". Some have this "Spanish" A side label twice, others have the B side twice. Track times stopwatched. - As maybe noticed the original recording of the supposed walk along the 'red light district of Bradford' is about 40 seconds longer here on this LP than the cut/edited version on the CD RE-release. - The New Order track is split in two parts, probably due to maximum vinyl mastering length. The cover credits ‘Genesis P.-Orridge’ with the liner notes and as a member of the group, but s/he was not involved in this release. It is speculated that Steven Stapleton was also not involved. Runouts are etched.
