The Max Roach Trio Featuring The Legendary Hasaan
Recorded in New York, December 4 and 7, 1964. Green/white/blue Atlantic label with boxed “fan” logo corresponds to the Black Fan 2 design, generally attributed to mid-1960s repressings. Matrices ST-A-65645 / ST-A-65646 with LW and AT indicate use of the original 1965 metal parts. The accompanying Atlantic catalog inner sleeve reflects titles current to 1965–66, making this an early Black Fan 2 issue — most likely a 1966 repress.
