Recorded November 2 (quintet) and November 23 (sextet), 1966. The 1st MONO original issue has: • Blue/white "A Division Of Liberty Records, Inc." labels • Labels with sans-serif numeral I on "Side I" denotes printed by [l783596] • VAN GELDER stamped in the runouts on both sides • Pressed by [l717172] as indicated by "114" in Side B runout • With "27 Years Blue Note" inner sleeve (LondonJazzCollector "Sleeve 9" with [m164688] pictured in column 6, row 4) • Non laminated gatefold jacket with "43 West 61st St., New York 23" address inside gatefold and "© Liberty Records, Inc" on back • Front cover has "BLP 4250" only, while STEREO copies have "BST 84250" as well. Some copies have "Audition Copy" ink stamped on rear cover.
