Forbidden Planet Soundtrack
Housed in a textured, gatefold sleeve. Includes double-sided printed insert with artwork and liner notes. The sealing plastic had a hype-sticker saying : “ Moving Image Entertainment VIRGIN VINYL PRESSING (180 gm) HEAVY QUALITY SLEEVES” This soundtrack accompanied the film "Forbidden Planet" in 1956 (directed by Fred M. Wilcox) and was the first electronic score of its kind. It was nominated for an Academy Award. The first vinyl release was in 1976, the second in 1978, both were exclusively US-issues. This release is the third issue, made by "Moving Image Entertainment A Division Of [l=Comet Records (2)]"
