Led Zeppelin II
US 1st pressing from Specialty Records Corporation, featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Packaged in the standard gatefold cover with Atlantic inner sleeve. Some copies came with one or two hype stickers: One mentioning Whole Lotta Love and the other with a track listing. Label rim-text reads: Mfg By Atlantic Recording Corp., 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y. Runout data is hand scribed with the exception of the SRC logo, which is stamped. The LW marking is orientated 90 degrees in comparison to the other markings.
