Issued on gradient blue Chrysalis labels in a cardboard semi-glossy picture sleeve opening at the top, initial copies with a printed 'obi'-style horizontal paper strip stating "The debut album from Generation X" on the front and with a track listing on rear. Later pressings with identical labels were issued in a regular side opening sleeve. The "// x ▽420" in the Side 1 runout identifies Phonodisc Ltd. as the pressing plant. The "M" after the "B//2" on side 2 identifies that the lacquer was cut at the "Master Room." See Phonodisc description at [l327018].
