Without Mercy

Durutti Column, The · 1984 · Vinyl-LP · GB · fact 84

Picture on front sleeve and record info on back sleeve are applied with glue to the rough cardboard sleeve. Only artist-name, title, cat# are printed on front sleeve and picture info is printed on back sleeve. Recorded at Strawberry Studios, Stockport. Mixed at Britannia Row, London. Published by the Movement of the 24th January Publishing. Cover: Triveaux Pond, 1916/17 Oil on canvas 92.7 x 74.3 cm Henri Matisse (1869-1954) Reproduced by Courtesy of the Trustees, the Tate Gallery, London. The runout message on side A is a misspelled, unpunctuated quotation from the opening of John Keats' 1820 ballad 'La Belle Dame sans Merci'. The correct couplet is: O what can ail thee, knight-at-arms, Alone and palely loitering?
