The 1975 classic spy thriller 3 Days Of The Condor, an adaption from the book written by James Grady, is directed by Sydney Pollack, starring Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway. Robert Redford plays a common man battling for his life in an uncommon situation; he just escapes from the building where he works when all his other CIA administrative colleagues are brutally murdered. What follows is a stylish suspense thriller where Redford tries to uncover the mystery and is unwillingly forced to kidnap a young woman (Faye Dunaway) to aid him. 3 Days Of The Condor influenced a generation of similar-themed thrillers, including Will Smith's Enemy Of The State. To accompany this classic spy thriller, jazz musician Dave Grusin turned in music with familiar elements of jazz fusion and R&B funk. Guest vocalists Jim Gilstrap on "I've Got You Where I Want You" and Marti McCall's "Silverbells" conclude the mainly instrumental score which was produced by Neely Plumb. The first Music On Vinyl pressing of 3 Days Of The Condor is pressed on gold vinyl.
