Liberation Music Orchestra
Recorded April 27-29, 1969. The album conceived by hearing songs from the Spanish Civil War, and dedicated to creating a better world; a world without war and killing, without racism, without poverty and exploitation. Tracks A2 "El Quinto Regimiento (The Fifth Regiment)", "Los Cuatro Generales (The Four Generals)" and "Viva La Quince Brigada (Long Live The Fifteenth Brigade)" are all old Spanish folk songs with new words added in war time. On track A1.b "Song Of The United Front": Hans Eisler's original piano arrangement is used with only slight changes. On tracks A2.b "Los Cuatro Generales" and A2.c "Viva La Quince Brigada": Parts of the original 1930's orchestra and chorus arrangements of "Los Cuatro Generales" and "Viva La Quince Brigada" as they were played on the sound track of the film, "Miurir A Madrid (To Die In Madrid)", are super-imposed under the improvising. On track B1 "Song For Chè": "Hasta Siempre", composed and sung by [a257303], is super-imposed under the improvising; The recording of Carlos Puebla was taped in Cuba by [a391090] on her last visit there.
