Allen Ginsberg And The Daily Planet

Allen Ginsberg · 1969 · Vinyl-Lp · US · EM RH-6

A documentary record produced by EMR for Random House, “based on” and intended to promote the publication of “Paterfamilias: Allen Ginsberg in America” by Jane Kramer (a staff writer at The New Yorker whose lengthy pieces on him for the magazine became the book). The LP’s “electronic sketch” features extracts from Jerry Levin’s taped conversations with Ginsberg (in which he discusses his thoughts on, among other topics, politics, ecology, cosmic consciousness, and William Blake); recordings of live performances and readings (including excerpts from “Pentagon Exorcism”, three Blake songs, mantras, and “First Party at Ken Kesey’s with Hell’s Angels”); and a commentary narrated by Jonathan Schwartz. Released without a cover.

Available at VOD →Listed for sale on the VOD platform — tape-mag stays an archive.
