V2_Archief emerged in 1984 from the Netherlands as a vessel for the avant-garde, a nexus where sound and printed matter converged. Its offerings, primarily in cassette form, embody the raw ethos of the Dutch underground — a realm where noise isn't merely heard but carved into the cultural consciousness. With only eleven releases, the label became a concentrated point of interdisciplinary exploration, a place where Merzbow's chaotic textures met the subtler contours of Prilius Lacus's audio collages. The cassettes, like "Dentro De La Gravedad" and "Hang Of The Narrow", are tactile sculptures of sound, each twist of the tape revealing a new facet of their creators' intent. Barry Schwartz's "Optic Nerve" and Eric Lunde's contributions further deepen the archive's commitment to non-traditional formats and processes.
