About
Warworld, a shadow in the post-industrial landscape, emerged briefly yet intensely from 1987 to 1989. With all six releases in the raw tape format, their self-released catalog bypassed the conventional music industry, opting for a direct channel to its niche audience. The debut cassette, "End Of The Wild Frontier" (1987), set the stage with harsh soundscapes and dissonant textures, a precursor to their relentless auditory assault. "Midnight Industry" continued the descent into mechanical chaos, utilizing found sounds and tape manipulation to construct a dystopian realm. By "Metamorphisis" (1988), Warworld's evolution was marked by increasingly minimalist compositions, where the absence of structure became a structure itself. "Spots on my Wall" followed, layering thematic depth with its unsettling sonic palette. The final release, "6 No' Marro" (1989), concluded their brief existence, leaving behind a legacy of obscurity and intrigue. Warworld's sound was functional, relentless, a testament to the era's experimental fervor. Each tape a relic of an age where industrial noise met artful dissonance, constructing a narrative of mechanical despair and resilience.
