About

Voice of Eye is an industrial and experimental noise project that emerged during the late 1980s underground music scene. Active primarily throughout the early 1990s, the project developed a distinctive approach to dark ambient and noise composition, releasing material on the independent label Cyclotron Industries. Their early works, including their self-titled 1991 release and subsequent cassette releases like "Isolation" and the split "Resonant Fields / Hot Gypsy Fink Hell," established the project as part of the broader experimental noise underground. The project's aesthetic combined elements of industrial music with abstract sound design and atmospheric textures typical of the era's avant-garde cassette culture. Voice of Eye's work has been recognized as representative of the prolific but often obscure experimental music scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s. A retrospective compilation, "Anthology One: 1989-91," released on vinyl in 2010 through Vinyl on Demand Records, demonstrated renewed interest in the project's early catalog and helped document an important period in underground experimental music history.
