About
Subtle Reign was an experimental noise and dark ambient project active in the late 1980s. The duo released two cassettes through the independent Deaf Eye label: "23 Inches Of Perpetual Excitement" (1988) and "Nativeland" (1989). Their work exemplified the raw, lo-fi aesthetic of the underground noise scene, blending industrial textures with ambient soundscapes. Though limited in documented output, Subtle Reign contributed to the tape culture and experimental underground music networks of their era.
