Sema is an experimental and industrial music project active during the early 1980s, representing the avant-garde underground music scene of that era. The project is documented through three releases: Theme From Hunger (1982) and Extract From Rosa Silber (1983), both vinyl LPs that showcase the project's exploration of dark, noise-oriented soundscapes and experimental composition. These early works established Sema's aesthetic within the broader context of post-industrial and experimental noise music emerging in the early 1980s underground. The compilation album Time Will Say Nothing 1982-1984, released in 2012 on Vinyl On Demand Records, serves as a retrospective of the project's formative period, collecting material spanning its most creatively active years.
