The project released two cassettes on the Reinfall Tapes label: Neue Auschreitungen (1982) and their self-titled debut (1983). Operating within the underground noise and experimental music scene of early 1980s Germany, Seltsame Zustände contributed to the era's DIY cassette culture and industrial underground aesthetic.
