Rapoon is an experimental audio project working within the dark ambient and industrial noise traditions. The project emerged in the 1990s with a focus on immersive soundscapes that blend field recordings, electronic processing, and abstract textures. Their debut "Just Say the Faith" (1998) on Soleilmoon Recordings established their aesthetic of introspective, atmospheric composition. Rapoon continued exploring drone and ambient territories through subsequent releases, including "Live at Klanggalerie" (2000), which documents their performance-based practice. The project's later work, such as "Ghosts from a Machine" (2010), maintained their commitment to experimental sound design while incorporating evolved production techniques.
