Rafael Flores emerged from Andújar’s shadows in 1981, crafting a world of lo-fi analog dreamscapes that thrived on the raw, tactile grit of cassette tapes. His seven releases, primarily self-released or through clandestine labels like EGK and STI, are saturated in the textures of radionoise and field recordings — layers upon layers of sound that bleed into each other like colors in an abstract painting. "Manual De Persistencias" (1987) stands as an ecstatic testament to his unique approach, a sonic evolution that defies easy classification. Flores's universe is one where Comando Bruno and Kapotte Muziek orbit, a magnetic pull towards the fringes of industrial soundscapes.
