Artist
Notausgang
Notausgang, an EBM artist from Switzerland, crafts dark disco and downtempo sounds with a unique blend of industrial chaos and punk energy.
About
Notausgang emerged from Switzerland's shadowed corners, active from 1989 to 1988, defying temporal logic and embracing sonic chaos. With eight cassette releases, they crafted a regimented yet experimental sound, pulsing through industrial soundscapes and dark atmospheres. Their debut, "Confusion In Brains" (1985), self-released, laid the groundwork for their heavy basslines and angular rhythms. "Rock Against Rump" (1988) and "Rapture (Five Star Blockhütte 02.01.88)" captured their live energy, channeling it through Projekt Records' tape format. Venues like the Gutzkow Club in Dresden witnessed Notausgang's kinetic performances, propelling their music into the realm of legend. Collaborations with labels such as Pissende Kuh Kassetten and Trümmer Products broadened their reach, while self-releases maintained their underground ethos. Similar to Alpha Sect and Panorama Lineal, Notausgang's legacy reverberates in the EBM scene — synthetic, propulsive, and eternally club-ready.
