From 1995 to 1996, the project wove a tapestry of auditory abrasion, collaborating with an interdisciplinary network of labels including Betley Welcomes Careful Drivers and Destroy All Music. Each release, a sculptural entity, was crafted to explore the liminal space where abstract compositions and field recordings collide. The likes of "A Classic Collection For Severe Drug Abuse" and "Aural Malice For A Perverted Child" challenged listeners with their relentless process-driven ethos. These titles, distributed by niche labels such as Music & Elsewhere and Escape 3 Organisation, offered a fractal exploration into the recesses of noise. Mlehst's sonic evolution, steeped in a DIY ethic mirrored by contemporaries like Viodre and Skin Crime, carved out a niche that was as elusive as it was impactful.
