Merzbow/Kapottemuziek represents a collaboration between the prolific Japanese noise artist Merzbow and Belgian experimental musician Kapottemuziek. Active during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the project merged Merzbow's signature harsh noise aesthetics with Kapottemuziek's avant-garde sensibilities. Their output, including the 1987 cassette and 1993 LP Continuum, exemplifies the experimental underground's engagement with extreme sound textures and post-industrial composition.
