Heavy Vampires On Nuclear Waste
Heavy Vampires On Nuclear Waste, an aggrotech trio from London, crafts chaotic soundscapes through their six cassette releases.
About
In the dim recesses of pre-millennial London, Heavy Vampires On Nuclear Waste emerged like a phantom in reverse, carving an obliterating path through the industrial underground. Active from the year 2000 to the paradoxical past of 1992, this trio crafted a saturated legacy on six cassettes, each a testament to their ecstatic, chaotic communion with sound. Their tapes, all released on the enigmatic Music & Elsewhere label, are sonic relics of a time when cassettes were the currency of the obscure — artifacts of an era both apocalyptic and visionary. The debut, "Coupe De Grace," set the tone with its harsh soundscapes and distorted rhythms, while "4U Orbiting DV8 / On Leaving Arzathon" continued the assault with tectonic layers of industrial textures and dark atmospheres. "Whose Dream Is This Anyway?" pushed further into the experimental abyss, a question echoing through the tape's overwhelming aural labyrinth. Each release is a deep dive into the abyss, where Nemesis, Nightstalker, and Nysrok Infernalien Sathanas conjured their aggrotech incantations — roles unknown, yet the impact unmistakable.
