Head Resonance
Early 1980s experimental noise project documented through self-released cassettes and vinyl recordings from the European underground scene.
About
Head Resonance is an experimental music project that emerged from the European underground music scene in the early 1980s. The project is documented through a series of self-released cassettes and vinyl recordings spanning from 1980 to the mid-1980s, beginning with the cassette Multiplays in 1980 and continuing with Four Pieces (1982) and the LP Line Of Eloquence (1985). Their work exemplifies the DIY ethos of the era's underground experimental and noise music communities, characterized by self-released formats including cassettes and limited edition vinyl pressings. A retrospective compilation, 15 Tracks For Unknown People 80-84, was issued in 2004 on Vinyl on Demand Records, helping to preserve and reassess the project's early catalog for contemporary audiences interested in obscure industrial and experimental music history. Head Resonance represents the archival documentation practices and grassroots distribution methods that defined underground experimental music production during the post-industrial era.
