Frak

Frak was a Swedish experimental and industrial noise project active during the mid-to-late 1980s. Operating primarily through the independent Börft Records label, the project released a concentrated output of four cassette-based works between 1987 and 1988: Raggarslakt, Ljudforsok, Medkol, and Black Dead. These releases exemplified the raw, lo-fi aesthetic characteristic of the European underground noise and industrial scenes of that era. The project's approach to sound design emphasized harsh textures, experimental composition, and the exploitation of cassette tape's inherent sonic qualities, positioning Frak within the broader context of Scandinavian noise and post-industrial music.
