About

Endzeitgeneration emerged in the early '90s, a brief but impactful presence in the industrial tape underground. Their sound: harsh, layered noise, a relentless mechanical barrage. Cassettes like "Die Macht Der Menschen" (1992) and "Lebensabschnitte" (1992) reveal their penchant for experimental tape manipulation, creating dystopian soundscapes that echo the socio-political turbulence of their time. The project's existence was fleeting, active between 1992 and 1995, but their collaborations with labels such as Music & Elsewhere and Neuzeitliche Tonkonstruktionen ensured their mechanical message was broadcast to a niche audience. "Basis" (1993) and "Aufzeichnung Eines Momentanen Zustandes" (1993) continue their exploration of avant-garde composition, utilizing functional noise as a vehicle for political expression. "Akt-Ivist" (1995), one of their final statements on New Band Underground, underscores their commitment to politically charged themes. Endzeitgeneration was not about mainstream appeal. They were about the relentless grind of tape loops and noise textures, a clinical examination of industrial sound and its capacity to comment on human machinations.
