Bob Stohl and Kat Epple formed Emerald Web in 1978, crafting progressive electronic landscapes from Berkeley's creative pulse. Their sound bridges the organic and the synthetic — flutes and Moogs weaving through tape hiss, echoing across eight cassette releases, one vinyl LP, and a magazine feature. Their label affiliations, from Audion Recording to Fortuna Records, underscore a commitment to the experimental fringes, where ambient and New Age unfold in unison. "Traces Of Time - A Musical Anthology" (1987) stands as a testament to their pioneering role. Each track is a journey into the ethereal, with Epple's flutes soaring over Stohl's synthesizer textures. "Catspaw" (1987) and "Lights Of The Ivory Plains" (1984) further cement their legacy.
