About

Con-Dom is Mike Dando's unrelenting assault on the senses. From the English Midlands, Dando's brutal power electronics project cut through the noise with sheer sonic aggression between 1985 and 1996. Twelve tapes, one vinyl, and a magazine — each release a raw, abrasive confrontation. Distorted vocals and tape manipulation form the backbone. There’s no comfort here, just visceral political commentary that drills into the listener. Dando’s work, like "Law" (1996) on Power & Steel, is pure aural violence. The "Righteousness" vinyl (1995) on Pylon Recordings pounds relentlessly. Each cassette, whether "A Prince Of Our Disorder" (1993) or "Even More Racial Hatred" (1986), tears open the facade of civility to expose the chaos beneath. His collaborations with labels like Bloodlust and Control Domination cemented his place in the underground, alongside peers like The Grey Wolves and Genocide Organ. Con-Dom leaves no room for pleasantries. Instead, it offers an unflinching look at the darker sides of human nature. The sound doesn’t just fill the space; it obliterates it, leaving only the raw, exposed nerves of reality.
