About

Atrax Morgue, the moniker of Marco Corbelli, emerged from the shadowed corners of Italy with a sound as clinical as it was relentless. Between 1997 and 2007, Corbelli released six cassette albums that drilled into the heart of death industrial. His arsenal included the Sequential Circuits Six-Trak synthesizer, a tool he wielded with precision to craft harsh sonic textures and drone elements. Releases like "Closed Exit" and "Autoerotic Death" resonate with a mechanical hum, each track a metronomic exploration of the human psyche's darker recesses. Through his own Slaughter Productions, these tapes became artifacts of the cassette culture underground, a network of like-minded creators and listeners. Bloodlust and Nail also carried his work, pushing his creations into the hands of those who found solace in the abrasive and the dystopian. Atrax Morgue's sound was functional, an unyielding soundtrack to a world stripped bare, leaving only the raw, metallic core.
