Atomic Thinkers were an experimental music project active in the early 1980s, operating within the emerging industrial and noise music underground. The group released three cassette albums through the AtoMusic label between 1982 and 1983: The War Game, Atonal, and Nuclear War Tactics. Their output reflects the aesthetic concerns of post-industrial music, characterized by abstract soundscapes, atonal composition, and conceptual frameworks often addressing technological and sociopolitical themes, as evidenced by their provocative album titles. Working during a period of significant experimentation in underground music production, Atomic Thinkers contributed to the cassette-based DIY culture that defined much of the industrial and experimental music scene of that era.
