From the mists of the Austrian mountains emerged Allerseelen, a name whispered with reverence among the devotees of martial industrial and neofolk. The year was 1988, and this enigmatic project began to weave its spell through magnetic tapes, each a vessel of ritualistic soundscapes and elemental force. Within the archaic confines of cassette, Allerseelen conjured releases like Desaster and Lacrima Christi, both from 1989, casting incantations through labels such as Arany Kor and Aorta. The soundscapes are haunting, a stark marriage of martial rhythms and spectral vocals that echo the shadowed histories of their homeland. Influences of Austrian folklore seep through the layers, as if whispered by the ancient stones themselves. The project stands in kinship with the likes of Der Blutharsch and Von Thronstahl, sharing a lineage of sound that is both stark and invocational. Though the roles of Marcel P. and Gerhard Petak remain shrouded in mystery, the music of Allerseelen speaks in their stead, a testament to the elemental power of ritual and remembrance.
